Hold a Care Kit Drive
We are asking schools and community organizations to hold donation drive to collect
products for our Care Bags, which help families who have a child facing a life-threatening
illness in the hospital. These bags contain all the essential items families need so they can stay in the hospital
with their child. More importantly, the care bags are tangible messages to these families that there are other
people in their community who care about them during their time of need. We are in great need of your help in collecting
items to put into these bags along with other items for kids who are in the hospital. Often,
our biggest supporters are children and teens, and we have seen great things happen when kids help other kids and families
in need. The end result is always inspiring to us, to the children, and to the community.
Care kits are filled with items related to basic personal, comfort,
and communication needs. Kylie Care Kits Include items like: A cozy blanket, long distance calling cards, toothpaste,
toothbrush, shampoo, lotion, flip flops (for the showers),deodorant, lip balm, laundry supplies, tissues, soap, gum,
plastic bags that seal (to hold the toiletries), disposable cameras, Purell sanitizing lotion, a journal, and more.
